Another Tough One
Saturday afternoon the Goderich Sailors Zehrs Markets Atom team travelled to Hanover to take on the Falcons who currently sit right in the middle of the East Division for an exhibition game.
The team was being out played right from the opening face-off, but they would manage to skate to a 1-1 draw after the first period. The goal would come from Jaden. In the second period the Falcons were able to score two more to take a 3-1 lead into the final frame. Early in the third the Sailors took another one of their many penalties in the game and Hanover showed why they are having such a successful season as they were able to score a quick power play goal and never look back as they would end up scoring four in the third to give them the 7-1 victory.
Goderich worked hard this game as they always do and did not give up one bit, they were simply up against a team who was too strong for them on this day. Hanover knew exactly where to go and what to do on every play it seemed and their players were always in the right position and executing to near perfection. This was a good chance for Goderich to face a team who they do not play during the regular season and toughen them up for the start of the playoffs which are just around the corner.
Go Sailors!
