Exhibition Loss
The Goderich Sailors Zehrs Markets Atom team hosted the Kincardine Kinucks team 2 for an exhibition game on Friday night.
The Sailors played hard throughout this game, backed by many solid saves by Matthew. The Kinucks pressure was too much to overcome though as they would have leads of 1-0, 3-1 after the first two periods, which led to the final 5-1 score. The goal for Goderich came from John who went in on a breakaway, firing one off the goalies pad and pounding the rebound into the net thanks to a pass at the blue line from Evan.
The Sailors had numerous positives to take from this game in the end despite the loss and they can now set their sights on the upcoming playoffs and next weekends tournament in Penetang.
