Well Deserved Tie!

On January 19, 2013, the Goderich Sailors Atom LL2 traveled to Hensall to play against the BCH Icedogs. With a short bench, 10 players, the Sailors jumped out to a two goal lead and as always Oster made big save after big save throughout the first period.
The second period, with the long change, wore down the Sailors' defense. Time after time, the BCH team kept the team from changing their lines and made the Sailors pay on the scoreboard. At the end of the second period the score was 3-2 for the Sailors. By the time the third started the long shifts had taken their toll and the Sailors team began to show signs of exhaustion. Hensall jump out early in the third to tie the game up and continued to press the visiting Sailors. By the time the game reached the final minutes the Sailors were hanging on to a one goal lead that would evaporate with 1:38 seconds to play. The game ended in a draw. Goal scorers for Goderich included Hartin (3) and Roth (2). Assists were handed out to Stinson (2).
