Sailors vs. Sailors!
On January 10, 2013 the Goderich Sailors Atom LL2 visited the Goderich Sailors Atom LL1 and with friendly bragging rights on the line, this game was a full tilt pressure cooker. The Atom LL1 started the scoring half-way through the first and potted a second to finish the first period off. Although the period ended 2-0 for the LL1 our team fought hard and were determined to find a bounce any where to boost their confidence.
The second period was another serving of bad bounces for the LL2 and at the end of the second period they found themself down by 3 goals. With the start of the third period came the LL2's first goal of the game. Menchenton got the team on the board with a goal assisted by Gillam. LL2 continue to score throughout the third period. Goals were scored by Austin (1), Stinson (1), and Gillam (1). Assists were tabulated by Menchenton (1) and Stinson (1). But in the end, the LL2 could not defeat Lady Luck and the team lost the game (4-5).
