Learning to Keep the Pressure On
On December 15, 2012 the Goderich Sailors Atom LL2 hosted the Tiverton Thunder. In a game that started out as an easy victory for the Sailors ended in a come from behind last second tie. The Sailors opened the scoring in the second period with 4 goals in 7 minutes to jump out to a 4-1 lead. Throughout the third period Goderich struggled to maintain their attention to details and enthusiasm for the game and Tiverton stormed back to score 4 goals of their own in under 9 minutes. Luckily for the Sailors they were able to tie the game up in the last minute when they pulled their goalie for the extra attacker. Goals were scored by Graham (3) and Stinson (1). Assists were tabulated by Bell (2), Stinson (1), Graham (1), Knox (1) and Rau (1).
