PeeWee Scotiabank LL2 Finish Play-offs and Look Forward to YCW!

PeeWee Scotiabank LL2 played their final game of the
play-offs in Drayton on Wednesday night.
The team put out a good effort but the Defenders played a fast-paced
game that took time and space away from the Sailors. Coach Little tried various match-ups but with
a couple of players missing from action the Defenders squad proved to be too
much for our short bench. Although the
Sailors played well, the Defenders came away with a 3-0 victory.
Props to Cole W who did a stellar job with his first opportunity playing centre. I should also give a shout out to Grayson O who was solid in net all play-offs.
Despite not getting a win in the play-offs the Sailors gained a lot of experience. The players were tested playing against solid teams – the top three in the South division. The experience gained by playing against strong teams that force you to play hard every shift is something PeeWee Scotiabank LL2 can lever off in Young Canada Week. On a personal note I’d like to thank Coaches Little and Klein for giving two under-experienced players a spot on their roster at the beginning of the season - those boys were encouraged, given their fair share of shifts and learned a lot this year – it is greatly appreciated. This article has been viewed 824 times.
