Goderich Legion Midget Rep Sailors Week 2 & 3 Update
The busy calendar continues for the Goderich Legion Midget Rep Sailors.

On Friday October 24 they played their first game in the Archie McMillan Memorial Midget Rep Tournament in Kincardine against the Mt Forest Rams. Less than two minutes into the opening period the Sailors took the lead off a long stretch pass from Kyle to Dominic. That lead would stand until period three when the Rams would score twice in the last five minutes of the game to steal victory from the Sailors.  

The Sailors second game of the tournament was Saturday afternoon against the Petroila Oilers. Again the Sailors would jump out to an early 1-0 lead after Nic would pick up an Oiler turn over and feed Dominic for the goal. Petrolia would tie it in the last minute of the period. The Sailors would find themselves down 2-1 after two periods in a very entertaining hockey game. The third period would not get any better for the Goderich Legion Team and Petrolia would notch two more goals in a one minute span late in the period to record the win. Game three of their Round Robyn play was against a very fast skating from Penetang Flames team. There was no scoring in the first period with both teams enjoying opportunities but not converting.

In the second period the Flames would notch four goals and the Sailors would get one of their own. Mykal would score for the Sailors while they  were short handed with Mitch getting the assist. The teams would trade goals in the third with Mykal scoring his second of the game for the Sailors . Thomas would get the assist as he sprung Mykal to get him in all alone. This would end their round robin part of the tournament and the Sailors were no wins and three losses. Forced to the Consolation Round now the Sailors 4th game was against Minto Sunday morning October 26. 51 seconds into the game the Sailors would have a 1-0 lead . Tyler would be the beneficiary of some good puck movement and convert his opportunity with Dominic and Kody getting the assists. The Sailors would open up a two goal lead early in the second period when Dominic would take a pass from Tyler and over power him with an excellent shot from the wing. Before the period would end however, the Mad Dogs would get a pair of goals to tie things up. halfway through the third period, Kody would get an unassisted power play goal and Goderich would record their first win of the tournament.  This would put them into the Consolation Final. In this game they would face the Mitchell Meteors. There would be no scoring in the opening period. The Sailors would open the scoring in the second period when Kody would net one after taking a Cole pass through the middle. In the third period, Mitch would convert a good forescheck opportunity to give the Sailors some insurance. Tyler and Dominic would get credit for the assists. This would be all the scoring for the game and Branden would record the shut out while getting get player of the game for the Sailors. With a 2 win and 3 loss record, they were Consolation Champions.

Monday October 27 the Sailors travelled to Mitchell for a league game with a very short bench. Dominic would score three goals for the Sailors and they would sneak out with 3-2 win. Tyler would record assists on all three goals and Chase would record assists on two of Dominic's three goals.

Saturday November 1 the Sailors hosted the Seaforth Stars at the MRC. Nate would lead the line up with 4 goals this night, singles went to Kody, Dominic, Chase and Jared. Cam, Mitch, Tyler, would record multiple assists and Branden would chip in assist as well. The final score being 8-1 for the host Sailors.

Friday November 14 they will be participating in the Aylmer Tournament.
