Sailors Post Win.

Thursday December 11 at the MRC the Legion Sailors hosted the BCH Ice Dogs who currently sit at the top of the division.

This was the  return match up for the regular season home and home series.

Five minutes into the first period the Sailors would take a 1-0 lead when Dominic Burbine would tip in Kody Langlois shot. Tyler Johnston would record the second assist.

Late in the first period Burbine would again find the net when he would take a deflected pass from Chase Kulich and Drew Dorey and rip a shot past the BCH goalie.

The hosts would then go up by three when Langlois would convert a power play opportunity after Mykal Hodges would drive down low and pass back out for the score. Cam Brenner would also record an assist on this marker.

BCH would get one back midway through the second period.

The Legion Sailors would restore their three goal lead when Hodges get a short handed marker on a screen shot with Mitch Fisher getting credit for the helper.

The visitors would get that one back with 1.1 seconds on the clock to make the score 4-2 after two in favour of the home team.

That is all the scoring that would take place and the Legion Sailors would record the split of the regular season series.

The Sailors next action is Saturday December 20 when they travel to Plex in Port Elgin to take on the Saugeen Shores Storm.

The game time is 6:45pm.
