Week 1 For Legion Sailors
The Goderich Legion Midget Rep Sailors have jumped out of the gate this season with three wins a row.

In their home opener on Thursday October 16 at the MRC they defeated the always powerful Kincardine Kinucks 5 to 3.

Dominic opened the scoring for the Sailors late in the first period jamming in a rebound. Nic and Chase recorded the assist.

Kincardine tied it up early in the second period. Before the end of the period the hosts would go by two goals with Mykal and Cam finding the back of the net. Kyle and Jordan would get assists on Mykal's goal and Tyler got the lone assist on the Brenner goal.

The Sailors would jump to a 5 – 1 lead in the third, when Kody and Mykal would both record unassisted markers.

The visitors would get two goals in the last two minutes to narrow the gap but Jordan would record the win with the home team.

The home team would be called for 22 minutes in penalties with the Kinucks getting penalized for 14 minutes.

In their second regular season game, The Legion Sailors would travel to Brussels to take on the Blyth Brussels Crusaders. Again the Sailors would get out of the gate really well and score three goals in the first 6 minutes of play. Mykal would get things rolling for the Sailors stealing a pass and scoring unassisted.

Cole would record the Sailors second marker popping in a rebound off Brenner shot while the Sailors were on a power play. Mitch would net the third marker for the Legion team with a absolute rocket after taking a good breakout pass from Kyle.

That is all the scoring the Sailors would get and that is the scoring the Sailors need as the rest of the game was a parade to penalty box. The host team would record 32 minutes in penalties and the Sailors would be penalized for 35 minutes. Branden would record the win in net for the Sailors.

Their third league in the calendar week would have the Sailors hosting the Saugeen Shores Storm at the MRC on October 23. The hosts would get the lead at the halfway point of the first period with Nick tapping in a scramble around the Storm net, Tyler and Dominic would get credit for the assists.

The teams would trade goals in the second period and it would be Cody finding the twine after some solid work in the offensive zone. Chad and Chris would notch helper points. In the third period Dominic would blast one home while the Sailors were on the power play and that would prove to be the winner. Assisting on that goal were Jared and Nick. The hosts would be called for 14 minutes of penalties 10 of which were in the second period, while the visitors would only be called for 2 minutes total in the game.

The Legion Sailors next home game is Thursday October 30 at the MRC when they host the perennial power house team from Listowel
