Strong Outing Saturday
Saturday afternoon our Goderich Sailors Zehrs Markets Atom team visited Zurich to play a tough Thunder team who is regarded as one of the top in the league.

From the beginning of the game the Sailors showed they were ready for this battle as Adam would take a puck from end to end skating through the opposition to give him a one on one chance with the goalie...With his eyes locked in on his target, he fired a wrist shot just above the goalies glove to give Goderich the 1-0 lead just over a minute into the game.

This would turn out to be a short lead however as the Thunder were able to pull even just over a minute later.  Zurich would put one more in the net before the first period would end to give them a 2-1 lead.

In the final two periods Goderich continued their strong play as they battled hard for the puck with Zurich every chance they would have.  Zurich would manage two more goals in the second to give them a 4-1 lead, however the Sailors were able to hold them off the scoring sheet in the third thanks to some very strong play.

Goderich played a great game in Zurich, showing themselves that the hard work they have put in to this point of the season is paying off.  This group is coming together and is ready for battle every puck drop.

Next game for Goderich is Sunday afternoon in Tiverton against Kincardine Kinucks team 1 at 4:00 as the Sailors look to notch their first win of the season.
