Sailors Lose 3 Straight to Mitchell
On February 16, 2014, the Goderich Sailors played game 3 of their OMHA final against the Mitchell Meteors. Although the Sailors put up a good fight, the game ended in a defeat to the Meteors 5-1.
The Sailors lone goal was scored by Eli who picked up a loose puck in front of the net and fired into the back of the Mitchell goal. Sailors played solid hockey through all three games but the lack of scoring put a lot of pressure on the team to play solid defensively and the Meteors capitalized on their chances.
