Game 2 in Mitchell
On February 14, 2014, the Sailors tried to deliver a special Valentines gift to their rivals to the east.
Mitchell once again opened the scoring at the 8:14 of the first period. Although this was not the start the Sailors were hoping for they battled back into the game when Eli scored (assisted by Joey) with 12:30 to play in the second period.
With the game tied at 1's the teams started the third with intense pressure at both ends of the rink. It wasn't until there was only 8:07 left to play in the game when the Meteors struck with their second goal of the game. This left the Sailors frustrated but they kept pressing the play. Mitchell pulled the plug on the Sailors night when they scored their third goal of the night with just 4:36 left to play in the game. Best of luck boys on Sunday night in Mitchell, a must win game.
