PeeWee Rep Defeats Mildmay 8-4
The Goderich Lions Club PeeWee Rep team faced off against the Mildmay Monarchs at the MRC on Friday November 16, 2007.
The boys found themselves down 1-0 early in the first period however they skated hard and managed to tie the score with a nice "5-hole" goal.
It was total Goderich dominance after that with the score 6-1 however Mildmay responded with a goal of their own to make is 6-2. Goderich continued to apply pressure and scored again making it 7-2 and then 8-2.
Mildmay did not give up and scored two more goals to make the final score 8-4.
Scoring for Goderich was Taylor Helesic, Brandon Johnston, Chase Duckworth (2), Andrew Avis (2), Clayton Campbell and Carson Lamb.
Great goaltending by Jason Huber kept the Sailors ahead.
Way to go boys. No tie.
