Tough Start to Play-offs
The PeeWee Kinsmen LL opened the 2016-2017 play-offs with a 7-0
loss against the Wingman Ironmen at the Memorial Arena on February 12, 2017. The Ironmen flat out-played the Sailors and
their goaltender made some big saves on the few quality shots the Sailors
managed to throw at him.
That game was followed up with a 9-0 loss versus the Seaforth Stars at the Maitland Recreation Centre on February 16th. The Stars put on a clinic on how to pass and set up for the give and go. This was a tough game for the Kinsmen Crew who just didn’t have a response for Seaforth’s more technical offensive play.
It appears that the Sailors have their work cut out for them in a play-off group that has them up against some teams who are really hitting their stride and playing some pretty solid team hockey! Let’s go Sailors – there’s time left to find your form!
