McGee Motors Novice Reps Win Twice Over Weekend
On the 28th of November the McGee Motors Novice Reps hosted the Listowel Cyclones and came up with an incredible game from all perspectives.  The Sailors sent the Cyclones packing with a 9-1 win.

In the first after the Sailors applied a couple of minutes of constant pressure the Cyclones picked up a loose puck and opened the scoring for a 1-0 lead.  The Sailors did not let that goal slow them down as they scored three first period goals of their own as the defence pinched at every opportunity and the forwards worked the puck down low to the front of the net. Goals went to Sawyer, Dean and Cody, with assists to Sawyer, Dylan, Duncan, Simon and Kingston.

The second period was more of the same as the defence would pinch and just like they practiced the forwards would cover without hesitation. It was like a well oiled machine and very pretty to watch. The Sailors scored three more goals in the middle frame with Sawyer scoring all three and assists going to Bronwyn, Connor and Kingston.

The third period the Sailors continued to dominate at every facet of the game scoring another three goals as Sawyer scored his 5th, 6th and 7th of the game with assists going to Kingston, Cody and Dean. Listowel had limited opportunities but when they did, Owen turned them away every time. Points went to Sawyer (7g 1a), Dean (1g 1a), Cody (1g 1a), Kingston (3a), Bronwyn (1a), Connor (1a). Simon (1a) Duncan (1a) and Dylan (1a).

On Sunday the Sailors hosted the Seaforth Stars for an exhibition game and came out on top with another 9-1 win. Owen made some incredible saves as the Stars fired shots to the top and bottom of the net but came out empty through most of the game. The McGee Motors Novice Reps continued to play sound positional hockey and played as a team with some incredible passing. First period goals went to Jacob with an beautiful end to end rush, followed by another end to end rush by Cohen and a beauty wrister by Duncan for a 3-0 Sailors lead after one period. Connor picked up the lone assist on the first period goals.

In the second it was more of the same as the Sailors continued to move the puck around the outside of the Stars defence and then sliding some beauty passes into the slot. The Sailors scored one goal in the middle frame as Sawyer's shot was stopped however Dean drove hard to the net firing the rebound past the Stars netminder for a 4-0 lead.

In the third the coaching staff switched it up a bit as the defence were moved to forward and some forwards back to defence. The Sailors scored five third period goals as they continued to move the puck. Goals went to Sawyer with two, Cody with one and Cohen and Duncan each with their second of the night. Connor picked up two more assists on the third period goals. The Hardest Working Player of the Game helmet went to Bronwyn for her ability to drive hard to the net, back check on every shift and making some great passes.
