D Comes Up Big in Win Over Meteors
On January 16, 2015, the Goderich Kinsmen Sailors AE's host the Mitchell Meteors in game two of the OMHA playoffs.  Mitchell took the first game on home ice 2-1 over the Sailors but the Boatmen were out for revenge at the MRC.

The first period witnessed end to end action with both goal tenders making great saves.  Grayson sported a .900 save percentage in the first game and was on his game early and held the Meteors scoreless until Joe found Ryan who potted the first goal for the Sailors with only 1:03 left in the first.  Then, just 1:14 seconds into the second frame, Ethan set Joe up for a goal of his own and the Sailors took a commanding 2-0 lead.  With the Goodrich crowd jumping, the Mitchell coach called a time out to settle down the rattled Meteors and the time out paid off.  Mitchell struck back with 3 unanswered goals in the next eight minutes to take the lead heading into the third frame.

In the third period the fans witnessed some intense end to end hockey.  Both teams had their chances but the goalies held the fort for both teams.  With the help of Ethan and Jack, Dmitri was able to beat the Mitchell goalie at 7:41 of the third period to tie the game.  Then minutes later, Dmitri struck again when Ethan passed him the puck to go ahead of the Meteors 4-3.  With the fans again jumping and the final minutes ticking away, the Sailors appeared to have tied the series up at 1 when Mitchell took advantage of a lucky bounce and tied the game up with only 1:43 left to play in the game.  Overtime!

The Sailors looked strong heading into the the extra 10:00 of overtime.  And again both teams battled for puck possession and zone time. Then, with just over 6:00 to play in the game, Wade cleared the Sailor's zone with the puck and Dmitri picked up the loose puck at the red line.  Dmitri skated over the Mitchell blue line, split the defence and went top shelf on the Meteor goalie to complete the natural hat trick and send the Sailors flying over the boards in celebration.

With the 5-4 win over the Meteors, the Sailors tied the playoff series with Mitchell at one game a piece.
