Submitted By Josh Larkin on Mon 03 02, 15
Bantam's having to play a home and home series again Lucknow, Arthur and Seaforth for the WOAA Gregg division playoffs.
Bantams got off to a great start with a 2-1 win over Arthur on Feb. 16 at home. Their next game they hosted Lucknow on Feb. 20 skating to a 3-3 tie. On Feb 26 the boys traveled to Lucknow and skated away with a 4-1 win. On Mar.1 the boys continued to play hard battling Seaforth to a 1-0 win.

The Bantam Jenkins Rep team hosted Lucknow on Feb. 20 and skated to a 3-3 tie. The boys carried a 2-1 lead after one period thanks to goals from Tyler and Carter with Mitchell, Bayden and Brady picking up assists on their goals. Lucknow scored the only goal of the second pulling them even going into the third. The boys took the lead on a unassisted goal from Mitchell half way through the third. The boys battled hard but Lucknow scored with 37 seconds left to push it into OT. No one scored in OT. Great game boys

On Feb 26 the boys traveled to Lucknow. The boys came out ready to play with Carter scoring on the first shift of the game with Tyson picking up a assist. Lucknow tied it early in the second. The boys respond with 2 of our own goals before the break. Jackson scored on the PP on a great shot from the point on a won draw from Tyler. Alex snapped home our third goal with a little over a minute left in the second. David extended the lead in the third making the score 4-1. Kyle played a great game between the pipes.

The boys would come home on Sunday Mar. 1 to face the Seaforth Stars. In was a back and forth action with Mitchell ripping home a short handed goal half way through the first. The game was back in forth action with both goalies coming up with some big stops when needed.

The Jenkins Bantams will finish off this round of Playoffs on the road next weekend with games in Seaforth on Friday night and travelling to Arthur on Sunday. Keep up the great work boys.
