Sailors Face Wolves
Narrow loss in a High scoring Game in Ripley.
The Boatmen came out in control of this game scoring 3 unanswered goals through the 1st half of the Game. Remi opened the scoring at 8:08 stealing the puck from a Wolf at the blue line and skating it in unassisted with a wrist shot up hi. The second Sailor score came from a pass behind the net from Evan to Nick in great position to tip it in. Digging the puck out of the corner Joey's great centering pass to Evan waiting in front to pop it in put the Sailors ahead 3-0 mid way through the 2nd. The hungry Wolves put one on the board at 5:20 and the sluggish Sailors watched 4 more quick unanswered goals by Ripley ending the period down 3-5.
The Wolves opened the 3rd period making it 3-6 at 13:53 but the Sailors Re-energized got back to work answering with a goal by Kaden putting his own rebound in at 13:09. Back and forth the Wolves made it 4-7 at 11:15. The Sailors got with in one with another goal by Kaden at 8:29 and a score by Evan putting his own rebound in at 7:04. But the Wolves pushed their lead from 6-7 to 6-9 with two more goals by the #8 Ripley player who had a 6 goal, 8 point night. With 14 seconds left Nick picked up the puck from the Wolves and skated it in for the final short handed Sailor goal of the night but it was not quite enough, the Sailors leaving town with a 7-9 loss.
