Convincing Win in Listowel for the PeeWee LL Sailors
The PeeWee ScotiaBank LL hosted the Listowel Cyclones on Saturday November 1st and walked away with a convincing 8-2 win.
The boys controlled the play in Listowel’s end for most of the first two periods. Kaden open the scoring on the power play, his 1st of 5 goals, 6 points, for the night after some hard work by Jack to dig the puck away from Listowel at centre ice. Kaden skated it in over the blue line beating the Listowel goalie for his 2nd after a great pass up the ice from Cole. With assists going to Joey and Jack, Kaden made the natural hat trick digging for his own rebound in front of the net and putting it in.
Nick opened the scoring in the second period with a nice pass from Aiden and put his own rebound in. Remi’s trade mark wrist shot from inside the blue line right on the net was tipped in by Kaden for his 4th of the night. Listowel put one on the board late in the 2nd. Kaden standing in front of the net tipped in a perfect pass from the corner by Joey for his 5th goal ending the period with the Sailors ahead 6-1.
Listowel came out energized by their goal and opened the scoring in the 3rd with a 2 on 1 break against a sluggish Sailor team. Tyler kept it to 6-2 stopping some great Listowel shots and twice robbed Listowel of the score on 3 on 1 breakaways . The Sailors turned it back up midway through the 3rd getting back to work and taking control of the game again. Digging hard in front of the net Aiden put Evan’s rebound in. The final goal of the night came with the Sailors short handed. Nick his 2nd of the night, skated it in over the blue line and beat the goalie with a nice pass up from Kaden.
The boys are in action again Sunday November 2nd against the Meteors in Mitchel at 7:40 pm. Come out and Cheer the Boys on.
