Just Catching Up On Previous Game Results
On October 17th, our Novice Rep sailors played host to the Seaforth Stars at the Maitland Recreation Centre.  The Sailors worked hard and saw nice goals coming from centremen Owen S (Wilder H) and Ethan C (Eric V).  Our always dependable defensemen even worked themselves onto the score sheet with another pair of goals coming from Keegan G (Wilder H, Eric V) and Eric V.  This, along with more solid goaltending from Ben G sealed victory for the Sailors, final score, 4-2.  Super job, team!

On November 2, the Novice Rep Sailors were visitors to the Seaforth Stars.  Owen S and Wilder H (Theron R, Jacob L) scored nice goals, and the defensive lines again did a terrific job of shutting down their opponent’s offensive efforts, but Seaforth played tough to see the game end tied at 2-2.  Keep pushing yourselves to be the best you can be boys, hard work at practice and your never-give-up attitude is the key!  The Sailors would like to wish a speedy recovery to centreman Ethan C, who has suffered an injury that will take him out of the line-up for a few weeks.  We are glad you will be joining us on the bench for support Ethan, get well soon!

Our Novice Rep Sailors were invited to play an exhibition game on November 3rd against the Mitchell Meteors AE squad.  The Sailors brought their A-game to the table and the coaches were very pleased at the increased passing and the offensive effort demonstrated.  Owen S came through with yet another hat trick, and Jacob L (Wilder H), Ayden H (Owen S) and Eric V all had successful shots at the Seaforth goaltender to see the game end with a final score of 6-2 for the Sailors!  This game was a solid effort all around, show us some more of that, boys!

On November 6, the Novice Rep Sailors travelled to Mitchell to lock horns with the Meteors.  Mitchell played a physical game and our defensemen worked extremely hard yet again.  Our defensemen are a solid unit and improving every game, great work by Keegan G, Evan M, Eric M and Eric V!   Jordan H had a solid start in net, making a number of tough saves, but the team struggled to mount an offense against the Mitchell squad.  The game ended in a tough loss for the Sailors, final score 4-0 for Mitchell.  Keep your chin up boys; work hard and soak up the advice of your coaches and the goals will follow!
