Big Win Over Saugeen Shores
The Novice Rep Sailors hosted another exhibition game on Saturday, September 28th at the Maitland Rec Centre, with Saugeen Shores as our visiting opponent.
The Sailors came out flying with great determination. The first goal of the game went to the Sailors, a whoopsy goal scored by a Saugeen player on their own net. Credit for the goal goes to Wilder H as the last Sailor to touch the puck. The team played a much improved passing game, with Owen S scoring the next goal, assisted by Ayden H. More goals came by way of Theron R, assisted by Owen S, and Wilder H. off an eye-catching pass from Jacob L. Owen S. then scored 2 more, one unassisted and the other assisted by Eric V., for his second hat trick of the year! The kids again came up with a great effort, with sticks and skates working very hard the entire game, and more outstanding work from our defensive players who are a solid unit and improving each and every game. A very nice effort was put forth by goalie Ben G. for his first victory of the year. Great work boys, a really fun game to watch! Final score, 6-2 for our Sailors!
