Another close game

After noticeable individual improvement in each player, we seemed to have taken a step backwards in the team play after a 3-1 loss to Hensall Monday night. Our team seemed to forget their positional skills, (we’re so hungry, and frustrated that we all want the puck), (the coaching staff has identified this and are addressing it) We were scoreless in the first two periods…then Hensall scored 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd.
Brendan Frayne took a couple of big hits early but shook it off to finish the game. After several breakaway opportunities, with 0.2 seconds left in the 3rd Graham Roth was finally rewarded by spoiling the Hensall goalie’s bid for a shutout. Our defense was awesome and fearless…our offense must have been jinxed or something because they sure had the chances as did Hensall…It was a goalie’s game for sure…
Here’s hoping we’ll have a more successful outing next Saturday in Mitchell.
