Pee Wees Force Game 4 vs. Listowel
The WOAA series versus the Listowel Cyclones started off on the wrong foot for the Pee Wee Rep Sailors on Friday March 5.

Despite a valiant effort and lots of Sailor pressure, the Listowel team scored first at 11:19 of the second period, and again with 39 seconds left, making it 2 - 0 Cyclones heading into the third. Then shortly into the third, forward Ian Simpson roofed a beauty to narrow the gap to one. Tying the game up at 3:24 was Dominic Burbine, assisted by Stephen De Jager and Mason Nurse. Sailor netminder Brendan Bean worked hard, keeping the Sailors in the game many a time. Things were tense as the Sailors killed a penalty with 2 minutes left in the game, and the Cyclones were aggressively seeking the win. The Sailors were successful though, and that forced the overtime period. Almost 8 minutes into the overtime, a Listowel player managed to squeeze by the Goderich defense and pop one in, winning Game one of the series 3 - 2.
Game 2 in Listowel the next day did not see the Goderich team at the top of its game. The Listowel team was up 3 - 0 in the second by the time the Sailors scored. A pretty pass from Kody Langlois to Stephen De Jager popped over the shoulder of the goalie and in, to put the score at 3 - 1. That would be the end of the Sailor scoring though, as the Cyclones went on to win the game handily by a score of 6 - 1.

Game 3 back in Sailor territory was a different story. The Goderich team came on strong from the opening face off and wasn't going to go down without a fight. Jordan Johnson was in net and handled many Listowel shots beautifully. At 2:33 of the first period Ian Simpson, assisted by Kyle Langlois, drew first blood for the Sailors. The second period was full of frantic action as the Cyclones desperately tried to even the score, which they managed to do at 5:50. Evan Guest scored at 1:26 of the second, unassisted, but not to be outdone, the Listowel team answered right back with a goal of their own to tie things up at 2 heading into the third. Despite many close calls, the Cyclones were not able to score again. Burbine put the Sailors up 3 - 2 at 8:53, and Guest scored his second of the night, widening the gap 4 - 2. The Listowel team pulled their goalie and tried energetically to get one by Jordan Johnson, but to no avail. Kody Langlois scored the empty netter goal with 19 seconds left in the game to guarantee the win. This win forces Game 4, which will be played Wednesday evening, March 10, in Listowel.
