Atom girls play South Huron & Seaforth in exhibition games
The McGee Motors.ca atom girls travelled to Huron Park on Sat Jan 12, 2008 for an exhibition game against the South Huron girls. The girls played a good game and came out on top with a 2-1 victory. Scoring for the Sailorettes were Becky Higgs and Bryanna Campbell.
This was an ultimate "team" victory as the South Huron girls are a well disciplined and skilled team.
Sunday morning at 9:00am saw the girls take on the Seaforth girls for the 2nd time this season. The game was fast paced with lots of end to end action however the Sailorettes appeared to be tired from the previous day's game.
The girls were ahead 3-2 however Seaforth continued to apply pressure and managed to tie the game up with one minute left in the game.
Scoring for the Sailorettes were Hailey Bakker with two and Becky Higgs.
Solid netminding form Haley Bowman and Kaitlyn Chagnon in both games kept the girls in the game.
