Atom Sailorettes finish 1st in Region "O"
The McGeemotors.ca Atom Sailorettes finished the regular season with a 15-0-0 record and also emerged as the #1 team from Region "O" advancing to the Provincial Tournament in Brampton on April 11-13, 2008.
In the second round of playdowns, the Sailorettes faced the top 3 teams from District 27 and went 2 wins and 1 tie for a total of 5 points to put them in first place.
Goderich tied 1-1 with Markdale and defeated Meaford and Owen Sound 6-0 and 3-0, respectively.
The girls are very proud of their efforts and their tremendous "team spirit", both on and off the ice. To end up 1st place out of 12 teams is certainly worth some bragging rights.
