The McGeemotors.ca atom girls win two more games
The girls played two games this past weekend and came away with two more wins.

The girls faced off against Mildmay on Saturday December 8th.

The girls found themselves down 1-0 in the first period. They skated hard in the second perod but the score remained 1-0 Mildmay. The Sailorettes continued to apply pressure on the Mildmay team and finally the tide changed when Bryanna Campbell put the Sailorettes on the board with assists going to Megan Johnston and Sierra Burt.

The game continued to be a nail biter right down to the final seconds.  With four seconds left on the clock, Megan Johnston powered to the net and with one second left on the clock she roofed the puck past the Mildmay goalie to the roar of the Goderich fans.

On the attack for the Sailorettes were Kailee Hewitt, Ashley Baker, Katelyn McGee, Haley Fergerson and Amy Willis and working hard on defense were Sierra Burt, Shally Oster, Kayla McCabe and Madison McLean.

Another Great team effort girls!

On Sunday, December 9, 2007 the girls hosted Mount Forest for their first meeting of the season.  The Sailorettes played a good game and went on to win 3-0.

The first period saw lots of back and forth action but ended scoreless.  The Sailorettes decided to change that in the 2nd period with Bryanna Campbell finding the net assisted by Kailee Hewitt and Megan Johnston.  The second period ended 1-0 for the Sailorettes.

Megan Johnston came out strong in the third period and went on to score goal number 2 and 3 both unassisted.
Great offensive playing by Amy Willis, Haley Ferguson and Katelyn McGee. 
Haley Bowman recieved the shut out with thehelp of solid defense from Madison McLean, Hailey Bakker, Sierra Burt and Kayla McCabe. 
The girls play their next game on Sunday, December 16th at Memorial Arena when they host Blyth for their second matchup of the season.
