McGee Motors.ca Atom Girls win over Mildmay 9-5.
The McGeeMotors.ca Atom Girls hosted the Mildmay Atom girls on November 4, 2007.
Both teams hit the ice with a fast pace. The home team scored first however, goals by the Sailorettes were answered by Mildmay goals until the third period when the girls pulled out the stops to take the lead. Haley Bowman was solid in net.
Scoring for the Sailorettes were Megan Johnston - 3 goals and 1 assist ; Becky Higgs – 2 goals and 1 assist, Courtney Gardiner - 2 goals and 2 assists; Hailey Bakker- 2 goals and 2 assists, Madison McLean - 1 assist, Ashley Bakker - 1 assist and Kayla McCabe- 1 assist. Also on the attack for the Sailorettes was Kailee Hewitt, Bryanna Campbell and Katelyn McGee. Great defensive work by Amy Willis, Madison McLean, Kayla McCabe and Hayley Bakker.
Haley Ferguson was solid in her team support and is looking forward to taking the ice with her team soon.
