Bantam Marcc Apparel LL, U15, 2014-2015 (Goderich Minor Hockey)

Well Sailors, this will be my last official article – and you have certainly made my job easy with a season of multiple wins, winning streaks, tournament championships . . . and even some good old-fashioned hockey hostilities, rivalries and drama to write about!

February 23rd – Goderich at Ripley.  The Sailors went two for two in their round robin playoffs against the Ripley Wolves with a second win this week.  The first period was slow on the scoring front, with Snowden potting the Sailors one and only goal off assists from Noah and Lucas.

February 19th – Wingham at Goderich. The Sailors played another strong game of defense and offense, this time against the Wingham Ironmen in game 3 of their playoffs.  Ryan was the first on the scoreboard with a nicely placed top corner shot on a screened Wingham goalie off a set-up from James.

February 12/13th - Goderich versus South Bruce and Ripley.  The Sailors started their playoffs against South Bruce, who ended their regular season record tied with second place Mitchell for number of wins.

February 8th – Shallow Lake at Goderich.  The Sailors faced off again against the Shallow Lake Lakers this weekend in another pre-playoff exhibition game.  The Lakers were clearly determined to avenge their 7-2 loss on their home ice at the end of January and kept the Sailors to just 1 goal in the first period off a top shelf shot by Alex.
