Victory in Ripley!
February
23rd – Goderich at Ripley. The Sailors went two for two in their round
robin playoffs against the Ripley Wolves with a second win this week. The first period was slow on the scoring
front, with Snowden potting the Sailors one and only goal off assists from Noah
and Lucas.
Ripley managed to tie the game 1-1 soon into the second period, but the Sailors came alive for the last half of the period and Nick put Goderich ahead 2-1 with a nice rebound goal off a shot by Justin. Soon after Alex and Noah landed two more goals to make it a 4-1 game (both assisted by Josh B). The third period saw another goal by Alex off assists from Josh B. and Nick. Josh B. ended the game 6-1 with a sniper shot from the point. Michael had a great game and made some key saves to hold the Wolves to just a single goal. Great work boys! You will need to hustle hard and ‘play your game’ to your full potential this Friday against Mitchell. Let’s keep it going! Go Sailors Go!
