McGee Motors Sailors Playing Sound Hockey!
The Mcgee Motors Novice Rep team is playing sound hockey these days. At the 48th Gord Hymers Memorial Tournament in Listowel on the weekend, the Sailors went 1-2 in their pool before finishing fourth in the tournament.

The team learned how passing and forechecking can really help their team success. Their second game against Dresden was the best they had played all season! The team was also excited to watch John S. and Ayden H. participate in the Shootout Challenge. John stood tall and made excellent saves, to win 4th spot for the goalies! Ayden hung tough and used his hard shot to come first for the shooters! Great job John and Ayden! Congratulations to all the boys on a well played tournament.

On Monday night the McGee Novice Reps hosted the Wingham Ironmen in the second game of their round robin. The Ironmen started the game with a fast attack, but it was the Sailors who opened the scoring first. The Sailors then remembered their lessons from the tournament and played a good forechecking game. They also completed passes to teammates who went to the net with their stick on the ice. The game ended with the Sailors winning 11 - 3! Great game Sailors! Their next game is Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the Memorial Arena against the Minto Mad Dogs. Good Luck Sailors! Keep up the great play!
