November 17 – Kincardine
Kinucks at Goderich Sailors. The game against the other
Kincardine Atoms was a hard fought battle by both teams. Despite lots of action and multiple
scoring chances for Goderich, both the first and second periods ended-up scoreless. In addition to the hard work of the
defensemen, Tyler made a number of great saves in both periods to shutdown a
number of Kinuck attacks on the Goderich net.
Kincardine finally put the first points on the scoreboard with two back to back goals early into the third period. Adrian landed a goal for the Sailors (assisted by Joey and Remi) at the 5:37 mark of the period to make it a one goal game. Despite numerous chances to tie the game up in the last five minutes of the game, it wasn’t in the cards for the Sailors and the game ended with a very close 2-1 score. All the kids played great and the game certainly could easily have gone the other way!
