Close Game Against the Rams!
November 12 - Goderich
Sailors vs. Mount Forest Rams. The first regular season game against the Mount Forest Rams
proved to be an even match-up.
With the first period ending scoreless, the Sailors came out fighting in
the second period with many close chances – including two very close attempts
by Kyler. The Rams got a break at
the 6:34 mark to land the first goal of the game – but this was answered 3
minutes later with a beautiful goal by Kylen (assisted by Ethan). Starting the third period tied at 1-1,
Mount Forest landed a second goal to pull ahead 2-1. Logan tied things up at the 4:31 mark with a well-executed
goal (assisted by Snowden).
In an interesting move by Mount Forest, they pulled their goalie with 4 minutes left on the clock. The extra man advantage for the Rams paid off with a third goal at the 3:17 mark. Despite numerous opportunities for the Sailors, great defense and goaltending - and their own man advantage in the last minute of play - the game ended in a close 3-2 score. Great game Sailors!
