Tough Game for the Sailors
October 20th -
Blyth/Brussels vs. Goderich Sailors. Despite numerous chances by the Sailors - with everything
from hitting the post, crossbar and missing the net by mere inches, Goderich just
couldn’t get any breaks in their first game of the regular season. Blyth/Brussels on the other hand got
lots of breaks with several lucky deflection goals to get a leg up on Goderich
in the first half of the game. The
Sailors exhibited noticeable improvement in offense, defense, passing and teamwork - with much of the game being an even balance of play. Unfortunately, Goderich still got shutdown by the Bulldogs. The
talent of the kids is obvious - so with hard work, perseverance and coordinated
teamwork the Sailors will go the distance this season!
