Sailors Victorious in Seaforth
On October 23, the SC Inc Bantam Rep team traveled to Seaforth and was successful in shutting out the Seaforth Stars in a one-sided match.

The Sailors were hungry for a win from the opening whistle. They quickly put together a lovely play that saw Tyler Dickson net the first goal of the game on passes from Eric MacPhee and Ethan Lajeunesse, 1-0 Sailors. A shot from Steve De Jager found its mark just a few seconds later, 2-0. Just as quickly Chase Kulich passed the puck up to De Jager once again who banked the third goal of the night to put them ahead by three. The game was laden with Goderich penalties, but their strong offense and solid penalty killing prevailed. Just before the first period ended, Nick Souch assisted De Jager on his third of the night, 4-0 Goderich.
Great defensive plays by Goderich kept the Stars from scoring on what seemed like never-ending power plays. Even shorthanded, our boys were able to keep the pressure up and keep the Seaforth team from penetrating our zone. At 6:22 of the second, Kyle Langlois passed the puck up to De Jager who slipped it by the Seaforth goalie, 5-0. Kulich netted his first of the night a few minutes later, making it 6-0 Goderich.
Souch scored on an impressive backhand shortly into the third period, 7-0 Sailors. Langlois also nabbed his first of the evening, assisted by Kulich, putting our boys up by eight. Nearing the end of the period, Kulich scored again on a smooth pass by MacPhee, 9-0.  And with 8.5 seconds left in the game, Lajeunesse banked the last goal of the night from Kulich and De Jager, for a 10-0 final score.
Branden Bean earned the shut out with help from his solid defensive team: Eric MacPhee, Thomas Pritchard, Rylan Lamb, Langlois, and Lajeunesse.
