Tough Loss to Listowel
The Bantam Reps played the undefeated Listowel Cyclones in a game that saw the Sailors best effort shine through.

Goalie Branden Bean was hot in net as he stopped shot after difficult shot, keeping the Cyclones at bay. The Sailors were determined to come up with the puck every time, and won most of the battles in the first period. Chase Kulich put the Sailors on the scoreboard first at 12:35, on passes from Hodges and De Jager. The Goderich team held the Listowel team off for the rest of the period by beating them to the puck and clearing their zone well. The second period was scoreless, but showcased the Sailors' incredible hustle. Both teams had opportunities that didn't materialize. The third period saw the Cyclones tap one in at 10:52, tying the game at one apiece. Just a few seconds later, De Jager shot past the Listowel line on a breakaway and tucked in a nice band handed goal, putting the Sailors up again, 2-1.  The Cyclones were able to tie it up once again at 4:44, and then go ahead just a few minutes before the end of the game, resulting in a disappointing 3-2 loss.  The boys can hold their heads up high though, as it was a hard fought game that saw each player playing to his full potential.  Well done boys!!  They are looking forward to the rematch tonight, December 11, in Listowel. We know they'll play their A game.
