Kinsmen AE Lose Nailbiter in Blyth
Wednesday November 16th, the Kinsmen AE Sailors traveled to Blyth to face the Blyth/Brussels AE team.

Blyth/Brussels jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead, just 22 seconds in when they corralled a loose puck in front of the net and slipped it by Liam S. Chris G tied the score midway through the period, when he converted a nice pass from Braeden D, firing it over the goalie's shoulder. Blyth/Brussels scored 2 more goals, and finished the first period up 3-1. With just over 4 minutes left in the second, Blyth/Brussels extended the lead to 4-1, after winning the battle in front of the net. Just 6 seconds later, Luc A made it 4-2, firing a wrist shot into the top corner. Justin L scored the only goal of the third period, when he took a beautiful pass from Troy P, went in on the breakaway, and roofed a shot over the goalie's blocker. The Sailors pulled their goalie in the last minute, and put lots of pressure on the Blyth/Brussels net, but were unable to score the equalizer. Final score was 4-3 Blyth/Brussels.
