Penalties Costly For Kinsmen AE Sailors
The Kinsmen Pee Wee AE Sailors dropped a pair of games on the weekend, to Zurich and Milverton.

On Friday night, the Kinsmen AE Sailors traveled to Zurich to play their third game of the season, and found a lot of bounces not going their way. Zurich took a quick 4-0 lead and never looked back. Chris G swatted in a rebound, with an assist going to Mitchell R, to give the Sailors a little life, but Zurich scored 3 more goals unanswered to give them a 7-1 victory. The Sailors couldn't seem to get any momentum going, and were hampered by the 18 minutes in penalties they earned.

Sunday, the Kinsmen Sailors were home to the Milverton Drive, and came out with a little more jump. Braeden D opened the scoring 51 seconds in, unassisted, but Milverton scored midway through the period, and the first ended 1-1. Justin L scored late in the second, assisted by Dwyer B, giving the Sailors a 2-1 lead at the break. Milverton answered that early in the third, but Justin scored his second of the game from Dwyer and Brady G. The Sailors then got into penalty trouble, and Milverton scored two goals 17 seconds apart, the first on a 5 on 3 powerplay, and the second on the subsequent 5 on 4, to take a 4-3 lead. A minute later, Milverton scored again, to take what ended up being an insurmountable 2 goal lead. The Sailors could not overcome the 12 minutes in penalties they received in the third period.

Next action for the Sailors is at home next Sunday against Listowel. Game time is 4:30 at Memorial Arena.
