The Goderich Lions PeeWee Rep faced off on Saturday, Nov. 26th at the MRC against the Hanover Falcons. The game started off with end to end action from both teams playing their hardest. It wasn’t until midway through the first when the play started getting rough and the Falcons goaltender would get injured in a scrum in the crease. The Goalie remained in the game but a little shaken, soon after the Sailors notched 3 goals in the period with the first being scored by Cody Treble assisted by Chad Treble. The second by Matthew Bean assisted by Jackson Million and the third scored by Mitchell Fisher assisted by Bean and Cody Treble.
The second period the Sailors would run into penalty trouble racking up 12 minutes in penalties but successfully killing them all off and adding another goal by Fisher assisted by Darren Lockie. The third period the Falcons came out hitting hard but with awesome goaltending by Noah Smith and a focused Sailors Team they would go up by two more in the period with an unassisted goal by Kody Ritchie and another by Cameron Brenner assisted by Bean and Armstrong. The final score would end up at 6 – 0 with the shutout going to Noah Smith for his fifth of the year.
The Team faces Saugeen Shores on Tuesday, Nov.29th @ 7 pm Memorial Arena come out and cheer them on.
