PeeWee Rep Sail through the Storm
Sunday, October 30th the Goderich Lions PeeWee Rep headed to Port Elgin to take on the Storm.  The team started off with a hard push into the offensive end and a pass back to the blue line from Mitchell Fisher to Jack Morris shooting from the point would find the back of the net just 18 seconds into the game.  The rest of the period would be hard fought as Sailors ran into penalty trouble.  Playing short handed most of the first the Sailors continued to play solid defensive hockey allowing the Storm few shots on net.

The second period would get off to another hard fought period from both Teams. But again early in the period solid down low play in the offensive end would eventually lead to another Goderich goal from the defence with good passing from Darren Lockie and again Mitchell Fisher putting it back to the blue line where Cameron Brenner would score with a blast from the point.

Goderich would eventually get a power play but come up short early in the third.  Soon after Goderich would be back in the box but with great penalty killing and hard work, a pass from Cody Treble to Liam Armstrong would put the Sailors up by 3 with the short handed goal. Lots of hard play and solid goaltending by Noah Smith would fend off the hard charging Storm through the remainder of the period.  A late push from the Sailors and a great pass from Nate Helesic to the front of the net would find Kody Ritchie in the open to put the game to 4 – 0 and that would be the final score.
