Hard Fought Battle Against the Cyclones
October 16th - Goderich Sailors vs. Listowel Cyclones.  On October 16th the Sailors traveled to Listowel for their first away game of the season.  The Cyclones proves to be tough adversaries for the Sailors, landing their first goal two minutes into the game.  The Listowel goal was answered two minutes later with a great goal by Jack (assisted by Ethan) to tie the game.  The rest of the first period was an even battle between the two teams, but unfortunately, the Cyclones landed two quick goals in the last minute of play.

Going into the second period with a 3-1 score, Goderich’s offense continued to have many close scoring chances and the Sailors’ defensemen shutdown many attempts by Listowel.   Grayson also made many great saves to keep the second period scoreless.  The Cyclones came out strong in the third period to capture 3 more goals against the Sailors.  Jack landed his second goal of the game (assisted by Joseph) to end the game 6-2.  The Sailors take on the Cyclones again with home ice advantage on October 21st.
