Action Packed Win in Seaforth!
December 3 - Goderich Sailors vs. Seaforth Stars.  After a home ice loss to the Seaforth Stars, the Sailors faced off on Seaforth’s home ice with both payback and determination on their minds.  The result was a heart pounding, action-packed, barnburner game!  The scoring was slow to start, but once it started it never stopped in the highest scoring game of the season for the Sailors (so far anyways).  Seaforth landed the first goal at the 7:59 mark of the first period – but was soon answered with a goal by the Sailors.  Two more goals by each team ended the first period in a 3-3 tie.

The Sailors went ballistic in the second period with the 3 quick goals to pull ahead 6-3 in what was clearly the ‘TSN turning point’ of the game.  The remainder of the second period was a battle for supremacy with 3 goals by Seaforth and 2 more by Goderich to end the period in a tight 8-6 lead for Goderich.  The heart palpitations continued for the Goderich fans throughout the third period with Seaforth coming within a 1 goal distance of the Sailors on two occasions.  In the end, the determination and assertive play of all the Sailors right to the last second (as well as Coach Derek yelling words of encouragement from the bench) carried the day to win in a razor thin 10-9 victory!  Hat trick honours go to Jack, Cody and Joe – with assists by Paige, Owen, Evan, Dylan and Wilder (and superb offensive by the rest of the offensive line).  Honours also go to Grayson and the defensive line for shutting down the many scoring of the Stars.  Sailors - let’s keep it rocking!
