Sailors Defeat Mildmay
On Tuesday, November 16, the Bantam Reps traveled to the Mildmay Carrick Recreation Complex and faced off against the Mildmay Monarchs.

The Sailors scored first to get things rolling at 11:41 of the first period, when Taylor Helesic received a nice pass from Steve De Jager and popped in his first of the night. The Goderich team was on its heels a bit for the remainder of the period as the Monarchs applied some pressure, but net minder Jordan Johnston and the Sailor defense managed to keep the other team at bay. Five minutes into the second period, De Jager and DJ Stevenson got the puck up to Brandon Johnston who made no mistake and put the Sailors up 2-0. Despite numerous attempts to widen the gap in the second, the quick gloves of the Milday goalie kept the Sailors from scoring on many great shots. Finally, Evan Guest netted the third Goderich goal, assisted by Adam Smith and Brandon Johnston.  Persistence paid off for the Sailors in the third period.  After repeated unsuccessful Goderich attempts, Helesic scored his second of the night, aided by Stevenson, to make it a 4-0 shutout.
The Sailors, and no doubt the Monarchs, are looking forward to the rematch at the YMCA on Monday, November 22, at 7:30 pm.
