SCI Bantam Reps are WOAA Cruickshank Finalists
The SCI Bantam Rep finished their league season losing the WOAA Cruickshank Finals 2 games to 1 to an evenly matched TCDMHA Rebels team.
Game 1 saw the boys up 5-2, however the Rebels would fight back and tie the game. That tie was short lived as the Sailors would take the lead late in the 3rd, and hold onto the win.
Game 2 was another close match with the boys finding themselves in a lot of penalty trouble. The end result was a 3-2 loss.
Game 3 was another evenly matched battle with the Rebels taking the lead 1-0 on a power play. The game would remain 1-0, despite many attempts by the Sailors to put the puck in the net. The Sailors would pull their goalie for the 6th skater, late in the 3rd but the Rebels would seal their victory with an open net goal with 10 seconds left in the game.
Well done boys. We are proud of your efforts. You fought through adversity all season, with the number of injuries the team sustained. Thank you to the AP players, who came out and helped us out.
The boys are now looking forward to the final hoorah - The Motown Cup in Detroit, Michigan USA March 26-28, 2010. They face off against the SSE London team at 4:20pm on Friday then off to a Red Wings Game Friday night.
