Bantam Reps play well, despite injury-plagued roster
The SCI Bantam Rep Sailors have been hit hard by the injury bug but continue to persevere in WOAA Group playoffs, going 3-0 to date in round robin play, beating Mitchell 2-0 and Saugeen Shores, with back to back OT wins of 5-4 and 4-3 respectively..

Despite going undefeated in regular season play and clinching the #1 spot, they were eliminated in the first round of OMHA playoffs by Listowel in 3 games.

The boys travelled to Southampton on Saturday February 20, 2010 for a 7pm start.  With only 8 skaters and Jay, the boys knew they had their work cut out for them.

The boys maintained pressure for the first period but found themselves down 2-0.   Midway through the second period, disaster would strike taking out another player and specifically, our 3rd "D" of the season.  With no regular "D" left in the game, things looked pretty bleak.  #4 suffered an ankle injury and did not return to the game.

Down to 7 skaters, the boys fought back and tied the game. (I doubt they realized that would meant a 10 min OT period)  They found their second wind and gained momentum. With lots of back and forth action, the boys would score the winner at the 9 minute mark of the OT period, much to the dismay of the crowded Storm bench.

Well done.  That's the spirit we're used to seeing.  Keep up the hard work and here's hoping we don't have too many more games with only 7 skaters.
