Easter Bunny brings gold to Brampton
The Mcgeemotors.ca Atom Sailorettes have won the 43rd Annual Brampton Canadettes Easter Tournament.  This is the largest and longest running girls hockey tournament in the world with over 400 teams participating (408 to be exact).

This is the Sailorettes 4th tournament win of the season as well as winning LLFHL championship weekend.

The girls went undefeated all tournament and outscored their opponents 19-2.  In round robin play, the girls defeated the Stoney Creek Sabres 4-0, Toronto Leaside Wildcats 1-0 and the Chicago Stars 8-0 to finish first in their pool.  Semi-final action saw them take on the Scarborough Sharks early Sunday morning.    The girls defeated the Sharks 3-1 to head to the final.

The final game saw the Sailorttes matched up against the Whitby Wolves for the 3rd time this season.  To date, these two teams have each won a game and tied the third game so it was anyone's game.  The Sailorettes were determined to bring home the banner and dominated the game.  Great passing and positional play led to the Sailorette victory.  One referee was overheard saying "WOW" as the Sailorettes moved the puck around.

Well done girls.  The five games this weekend were amazing.  Keep up the good work and good luck this weekend at the Provincial championships.
