Atom Sailorettes win final series - LLFHL Regular Season Champions
The Mcgeemotors.ca Atom Sailorettes have won the Atom A finals of the Cathy Phillips division of LLFHL and will now advance to Championship Weekend on Friday March 26, 2010 in Whitby to play off against the top two teams from the East division, Margot Page.
In the Quater Finals, the girls defeated the Bluewater Hawks 6-0 and 5-0 to take the series in two games.
Semi-final action had them against the Stoney Creek Sabres. The girls took that series in two games as well, defeating the Sabres 5-0 and 2-1.
The finals were played against the Guelph Thunder. Again, the girls took the final series in two games, defeating their opponents 3-2 and 2-0.
The girls will now take a two week break and will hit the ice on Wed March 24 for a practice before championship weekend.
