Novice Rep tie Kincardine Kinucks 3-3 on Saturday, December 13, 2008 and loss to Walkerton Capitals 5-2 on Sunday, December 14, 2008.

Busy Weekend for Novice Rep

 

On Saturday, December 13, 2008 the Novice Rep Sailors travelled to Kincardine.

At the end of the first period the Kinucks were up by one.  The Kinucks scored again early in the second period, leaving the Sailors down by 2.  However at 4:41 Bayden Parent scored for the Sailors, assisted by Mark Morris.  At the end of the second period, the Sailors were down 3-1.

The Sailors would make a come back early in the third when Trent Buchanan scored at 8:30, assisted by Matthew Bean.  9 seconds later Bean scored, assisted by Buchanan.

Despite a number of shots on net, neither team could take the lead.

Kyle Prouse had a good game  in net.

 

On Sunday, December 14, 2008 the Novice Rep Sailors hosted a game to the number one team, the Walkerton Capitals.

The Sailors came out strong to end the first period scoreless.

The Sailors took the lead at 1:29 in the second, on a goal by Bayden Parent, assisted by Travis Sloan.  Walkerton answered back twice in the second before Mark Morris tied it up, assisted by Parent and Matthew Bean, to end the second 2-2.

The Sailors continue to be strong into the third, but were unable to answer back to the 3 goals scored by Walkerton.  The Sailors lost 5-2.

Jacob Abbott did a great job defending the Sailors net.
