McDonald’s Novice Rep Takes 2 of 3
The McDonald’s Novice Rep Team traveled to Bayfield on Oct.30th to meet BCH for their second meeting of the season.  The game was fast paced and low scoring with Goderich taking the lead early in the first period with a goal by Megan Johnston.  BCH answered back shortly after to even up the score.  Goderich again took the lead early in the second with a goal by Nate Helesic which kept Goderich ahead until late in the third.  BCH didn’t give up and pressed right to the end scoring two more to take the lead and the win. Scoring for Goderich were Megan Johnston, Nate Helesic and the lone assist going to Troy Peters.

     On Nov. 2nd the Novice Rep hosted Blyth in an exhibition game at the Memorial Arena. The scoring started early with Blyth scoring just 46 seconds into the game but Goderich answered right back with two taking the lead. Blyth soon got back on the board scoring a minute later to tie the game up but that would be the end of their scoring as Goderich went on to score 8 more unanswered goals winning the game 10 – 2. Everyone on the team pitched in with a great effort with the scoring being spread throughout the team as follows Ben Derrough (5), Nate Helesic (2), Megan Johnston, Bayden Parent, and Troy Peters with one each. Assisting the goals were Kody Ritchie, Kyle Larkin, Darren Lockie, Nate Helesic, Jack Morris, Troy Peters and Bayden Parent. 
    
     Sunday Nov. 4th the McDonald’s Novice Rep hosted Saugeen Shores for their first meeting of the season.  They started with a hard fought first period with no scoring until Saugeen Shores opened with the first goal with 52 seconds remaining in the first but Goderich quickly answered back scoring just 30 seconds later.  The second period Goderich scored early twice to take a 2 goal lead but Saugeen Shores answered back scoring four in the period with Goderich only getting one to end the period with Saugeen Shores up 5 – 4.  Goderich came out in the third with an attitude and never gave up scoring four times to Saugeen’s one for the win. The final score finished up 8 – 6 for Goderich with scoring going to Nate Helesic (4), Darren Lockie (2), Kyle Larkin and Ben Derrough picking up one.  Assisting the goals were Jack Morris, Nicholas Peer, Megan Johnston, Nate Helesic (2) and Ashley Bakker with two.
