McDonald's Novice Rep Win Season Opener
The McDonald's Novice Rep team hosted Walkerton for their season opener on Friday, October 19th. The game started off even until Ben Derrough put up 2 goals for Goderich towards the end of the first period.
During the second period both teams were held scoreless with the help of solid goaltending by Goderich's Liam Shore.
The third started with Walkerton getting an early goal to move the game within one but Goderich soon responded scoring two minutes later. Walkerton scored again within a minute moving them back into reach of Goderich once again. Midway through the third Goderich opened up the scoring with three more goals with Walkerton responding only once.
Scoring in the third period went to Ben Derrough (3), Trent Buchanan(1) with two assists going to Kody Ritchie for a final score Goderich 6 Walkerton 3. It was another great team effort by all.
