Regular Season Wrap up
Goderich's Marcc Apparel Bantam Sailors Finish 2nd  in the WOAA South division with a record of 17-5-0 just behind the 1st place Ripley Wolves.

There have been many great highlights this season; B champions at the Clinton Optimists Bantam Tournament, a regular season GF% of .687 with 136 goals for and 62 against. The season had about 10 lopsided high scoring wins in which the young men exercised restraint and respect in the latter parts of the game for the other team. There were also  a dozen evenly matched games with many hard fought and earned victories. Something that characterized this team is win or lose they play clean. This was always their way, the boys never wavered,  displaying neither bad sportsmanship in frustration during the few close defeats or browbeating the teams they dominated with superior skill.

The Last game of the regular season was humbling affair and showed the character of these young men. After playing the 1st 1/2 of the game to a 4-3 score, the Ripley Elite team figured out their number and added 6 unanswered goals in as many minutes. Goderich never lost there composure though, played their hardest to the final buzzer and showed the Ripley team what respecting the other team and Referees and playing clean whether your down, or up 9 goals means.

The Statistics for the season, include exhibition and tournaments. They show the depth of the team and why they're atop their division. This is not a team that saw 90% of the goals being scored by one player or line. A tribute to the coaching all players were given the opportunity to contribute and a tribute to the players , they all did. Goal tending was solid, GAA 2.44 . The defense cleared the zone effectively all season,  setting up the offense and assisted on 40% of the goals. Seems there was always a different hot offensive player or two (or three ) stepping up each game and as the forward's stats show they all had  some great nights this season.

A great regular season the team can be proud of, bring on the playoffs!
